Which forest is more diverse?
Community 1 has greater species diversity, as measured by two criteria:
- species richness (the number of different species in the community), and
- relative abundance (the proportion each species represents of the total individuals in the community).
The two communities have the same species richness, but community 1 has a more even distribution of
relative abundance.
